What the November issue looks like
Flood insurance by January 1 if you're on Citizens. Citizens has been phasing in a flood requirement, and on January 1, 2027 it reaches every remaining Citizens home policy with wind coverage. Condo-owner and renter policies are exempt. New federal flood policies usually take 30 days. If you're on Citizens and don't have flood, call your agent this week.
Hurricane season ends November 30. Window and shutter permits here peaked in May. If you're planning impact windows, the state's sales tax refund runs through June 2029.
The new building code starts December 31. Permits applied for after that follow the 9th edition. If a roof or window job is about to be permitted, ask your contractor which code it falls under.
The number: $9,633, the typical declared value on 1,897 AC change-outs in Jupiter and the Gardens this year.
